Bailey & Co. Ltd is a member of ARLA Property Mark, which is a client money protection scheme, and also a member of The Property Ombudsman, which is a redress scheme. You can find out more details by contacting us directly.


PERMITTED PAYMENTS

 

  • Rent payments as per the tenancy agreement.
  • A refundable holding deposit (to reserve a property) equal to one week’s rent.
  • A refundable security deposit capped at no more than five weeks’ rent.
  • Payments in respect of utilities; including council tax, communication services (broadband & telephone line), TV licence, water rates & sewage, fuel (gas & oil) and electricity as per the tenancy agreement.
  • A payment of £50.00 including VAT should the Tenant request to make a change (novation of contract) to the tenancy.
  • A late rent charge, where the Tenant is more than 14 days in arrears. The Tenant will pay interest of 3% per annum above the Bank of England’s base rate until the rent arrears are paid up to date.
  • Where the Tenant requests early termination of the tenancy, a fee not exceeding £360.00 including VAT will be payable to Bailey & Co. to cover reasonable costs associated with the termination and re-letting of the property.
  • A charge for Bailey & Co. to replace lost keys/ security devices where required as per the tenancy agreement. These reasonable charges are as follows;
    • Cylinder key (Yale etc.) - £18.50 including VAT each.
    • Mortice keys (Chubb etc.) - £19.95 including VAT each.
    • Post Box Keys (Double sided) - £19.95 including VAT each.
